Behind the tub, a quartz wall panel introduces another substantial fabrication detail. The piece includes 5-inch mitered returns and an 8-inch-deep niche.
The crew could not leave that niche depth for a field adjustment after the stone arrived. The wall needed the correct framing in advance so the quartz pieces would fit.
This is where coordination directly affects the result. The designer/remodeler, builder, fabricator, and other trades had to work from the same plan.
This Ridgefield bathroom works because its complex details feel natural once installed. The mitered vanity, continuous tub deck and shower bench, quartz wall panel, and deep niche all belong together.
